1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ClipMusic, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately. We may update these terms at any time, with changes effective once posted.
2. Service Description
ClipMusic provides audio fingerprinting technology to identify background music in supported public short-video links, including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and X/Twitter videos. We extract short audio snippets from submitted links, match them against known tracks, and return track metadata with streaming links when available.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to
- Only submit publicly accessible video links or content you have permission to analyze
- Respect copyright holders and each platform’s terms of service
- Use detection results for personal listening, research, or properly licensed commercial work
- Refrain from reverse-engineering, scraping, or abusing our API and recognition algorithms
Prohibited activities include
- Submitting private, unlisted, or copyrighted content without authorization
- Using automated bots or scripts to exceed rate limits (without an API license)
- Reselling ClipMusic output as a competing service
- Attempting to bypass detection limits or payment requirements
4. Availability & Usage Limits
Public Access: ClipMusic can be used without creating an account. Reasonable request limits may apply to protect service availability.
Service Changes: Features, supported platforms, and request limits may change as third-party platforms and recognition providers evolve.
5. Intellectual Property
Our Rights: ClipMusic retains all rights to its algorithms, interface, branding, and compiled music database.
Your Content: You retain ownership of submitted links. You grant us a limited license to process audio snippets solely for identification.
Music Metadata: Track titles, artists, and ISRCs are provided for information only. Streaming and licensing rights remain with copyright holders.
6. Disclaimers & Limitations
ClipMusic is provided “as is” without warranties. We do not guarantee:
- 100% match accuracy for every submission (audio quality varies)
- Uninterrupted service availability (maintenance may occur)
- Persistence of third-party streaming links (platforms change)
- Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid during the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damages such as lost revenue or data.
7. Termination
We may restrict or block access that violates these terms, including automated abuse, attempts to bypass request limits, or illegal activity.
8. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where ClipMusic is registered. Disputes will be handled through binding arbitration instead of court proceedings.
